U.S.A. – Daunte Stuart has quickly become one of the most electrifying talents in the American Association of Professional Baseball, and made another major statement on the league’s biggest stage.
Stuart shined bright under the lights of the league’s All-Star game, blasting a solo home-run to help his east division to a 9-2 win over the West Division at Newman outdoor-field in Fargo, North Dakota.
In Stuart’s first season for the Lake Country Dockhounds – through 27 games, has included a .352 batting average, slugging .514, fifth in the league in stolen bases with 11, and third in doubles with eight.
His consistency and versatility have made him a mainstay in the leadoff spot, where he’s ignited the Dockhounds offense with both his bat and speed on the base paths.
Lake Country, they closed out the first half of the season and headed into the All-Star Break with a division leading 35-24 record.
Stuart has represented Team Bahamas at two editions of the Senior Caribbean Baseball Cup.
Soccer
Team Bahamas’ u14 girls are ready to take on the U.S. Virgin Islands in a series of international friendlies on the pitch.
The two sides will face off July 25 and 26, at the Roscow A.L. Davies Soccer Fields.
The event will feature four matches over two days, giving the players valuable experience against regional competition.
Team Bahamas will be coached by Ricqea Bain and assisted by Codisha Brown-Colebrook.
Morning matches kick off at 8:30 am and evening matches kick off at 7:30 pm.

The country’s leading pole vaulter will head to the Big 10 and join the Illinois Fighting Illini.
Brenden Vanderpool’s commitment comes on the heels of his comeback performance at the Vulcan vault meet in Pelham, Alabama where he leapt 5.50m.
It was his return to competition after being sidelined with a hand injury.
He placed fifth among 12 competitors just 0.03 meters off his personal best.
Vanderpool brings an elite pedigree to champaign, having already established himself as one of the region’s most accomplished vaulters.
The Bahamian national record holder in both the indoor and outdoor event, he began on the junior circuit where he dominated the CARIFTA Games with three consecutive titles and set a meet record at 5.30m in 2024.
On the senior level, he also medaled for Team Bahamas with a silver at the under-23 NACAC Championships and a bronze at the Pan American under-20 Championships.
He began his collegiate career for the Samford Bulldogs where he became a two-time southern conference champion, claiming gold in both indoor and outdoor competition.
Locally, fans will have an opportunity to watch Vanderpool lower his national record next month at the BAAA’s Senior Nationals, August 1-2.
