Symonette was a “Special Human Being”

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former Member of Parliament, Cabinet minister and Speaker of the House, Vernon Symonette, described as a “special human being,” by former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham, who reflected on his life Thursday morning.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former Member of Parliament, Cabinet minister and Speaker of the House, Vernon Symonette, described as a “special human being,” by former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham, who reflected on his life Thursday morning.

Symonette lay in state at the House of Assembly, Thursday.

He died June 7th, after a political career that spanned four consecutive terms representing the people of Mayaguana, Inagua, Crooked Island, Acklins and Long Cay (MICAL).

Ingraham says he will give a tribute to Symonette at his funeral on July 29th at Zion Baptist Church.
