GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A brazen and shocking crime was uncovered in Grand Bahama this morning. Several courtrooms in the magistrate court building were burglarized. Officer in Charge of the Northern Bahamas, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Bernard B.K. Bonamy, says officers were called to the justice center shortly after 8 a.m.

ACP Bonamy says within two hours, officers had a suspect in custody.

Now the courts are not manned by a security officer overnight, but rather, checked on a daily basis. However, there are several security cameras in place.

When asked if he believes this was a deliberate attempt to destroy evidence.
