Thousands Of Users Report WhatsApp Technical Issues
WORLDWIDE – Messaging giant WhatsApp experienced a global outage Friday afternoon, with more than 50,000 users reporting issues shortly after 10:30 am EST, according to downdetector.
WORLDWIDE – Messaging giant WhatsApp experienced a global outage Friday afternoon, with more than 50,000 users reporting issues shortly after 10:30 am EST, according to downdetector.
Most users Reported difficulty sending messages, though issues have since declined.
Meta which owns WhatsApp has yet to comment.
While some reports of issues Also came in for Facebook and Messenger, the impact was much smaller.
Meta’s last mass outage in December affected both WhatsApp and Instagram, but Friday’s glitch doesn’t appear as widespread as the 2021 outage that lasted nearly six hours.
