NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The trial of a man accused of killing his cellmate has ended without a verdict.

Justice Jeanine Weech-Gomez dismissed a jury in the case of Diallo Williamson after prosecutors presented a nolle prosequi in the case.

He was accused of fatally beating Mikhail Miller in the Maximum Security Unit on November 1, 2021.

Miller, a psychiatric patient, was serving a three-month sentence for stealing a cellphone and tablet from his mother.

Williamson denied the murder charge and insisted that prison officers had assaulted Miller before placing him in the cell.
