UNITED STATES – Apple is pledging an additional $100 billion in U.S. investment, according to President Donald Trump, who made the announcement Wednesday from the oval office alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook.

The new commitment brings the company’s total U.S. investment plan to $600 billion.

Trump called it a step toward making iPhones in America, though Cook clarified that while some components are made domestically, full assembly will remain overseas “for a while.”
