NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 21-year-old man is facing a murder  charge in behind bars in connection to a fatal shooting.

Prosecutors say Andre Smith is responsible for the murder of Renaldo  Roberts.

On July 2, Roberts was standing outside a home on Malcolm Road when the occupants of a black car opened fire on him.

Roberts died in hospital on August 16 as a result of injuries sustained in the shooting.

Smith didn’t have to enter a plea to the murder  charge when he stood before Senior Magistrate Shaka Serville.

Bail was denied and he’s back in court in January to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
