Two Men Charged With Rape of a 25-Year-Old Woman in Cruise Ship Stateroom

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two men are behind bars accused of the rape of a 25-year-old woman in a Carnival cruise ship stateroom.

Prosecutors allege that Antoine Flowers, 28, and Sayjuan Readous, both of Detroit, Michigan, raped the woman on December 15 on the Carnival Sunrise.

According to a police report, the woman went to the men’s cabin, where she had consensual sex with one of them.

She fell asleep and when she woke up, another man, was having sex with her without her permission.

Flowers faces a single count of rape by himself, while he and Readous are charged together with raping the woman.

Readous is also accused of abetment to rape.

They were not required to enter pleas to the charges when they stood before Magistrate Abigail Farrington and bail was denied.

They return to court on March 26 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
