UNITED STATES – A major drug bust in the Caribbean as the U.S. Coast Guard says its crew aboard Cutter Venturous offloaded more than 5,300 pounds of Cocaine and Marijuana in Miami on Friday.

That haul that the Coast Guard says was intercepted in the Caribbean Sea is worth about $14.1 million dollars.

Officials say it is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking routes headed for the U.S.

No word yet on arrests, but the Coast Guard says this is another example of teamwork between international and regional partners cracking down on smuggling.
