LATIN AMERICA – The U.S. military said it killed two men in a strike on a boat suspected of carrying drugs in international waters in the Eastern Pacific Ocean on Monday.

The U.S. Southern command said in a post on X that Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by designated terrorist organizations in international waters.

The military didn’t say which organization, but the Trump administration has categorized several Latin American drug cartels as terror groups.

The U.S. military has hit at least 30 alleged drug vessels in the region since early September, killing 107 people.
