VENEZUELA – Venezuela’s Defense Minister is warning citizens to prepare for possible U.S. Military action – calling Washington’s behavior irrational and warmongering.

Speaking at a military meeting in La Guaira, Vladimir Padrino Lopez said he didn’t want to cause panic, but urged people to get ready for any eventuality.

On Wednesday, Venezuela deployed troops and police to two states as part of a national defense plan.

Relations between Caracas and Washington have deteriorated sharply since President Donald Trump returned to the White House – with Venezuela accusing the U.S. of seeking to oust President Nicolás Maduro through a naval buildup in the Caribbean.
