VENEZUELA – Venezuela is calling on Guyanese authorities to swiftly remove the HMS Trent, a British navy vessel, expressing concern over military involvement in its ongoing territorial dispute.

Venezuela deems the ship’s arrival in Guyana as a hostile act, violating the recent argyle declaration.

The UK deployed HMS Trent in support of Guyana after recent peace talks. Venezuela warns CARICOM and CELAC members that this move contradicts the spirit of the dialogue.

Venezuela says its committed to defending its maritime and territorial integrity.
