NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Opening night of the Caribbean Baseball Cup is underway, and some of the region’s top talent will take the field at the Andre Rodgers National Stadium over the next six days.

Team Bahamas is currently facing the U.S. Virgin Islands in their tournament opener. After a rest day tomorrow, they return to action on Friday against the Dominican Republic, followed by Curaçao on Saturday and St. Maarten on Sunday to close out the opening round. All Team Bahamas games are set for 7 p.m.

This year’s Caribbean Baseball Cup is especially significant. It serves as a qualifier for the 2025 CAC Games in the Dominican Republic and marks the first time the tournament will factor into the Olympic qualification pathway.

Meanwhile, the Jazz Chisholm Little League is set to wrap up its third season this weekend. The program continues to expand and now includes more than 400 players across five divisions, from tee-ball up to 14U.

In your Mingoes Minute: UB men’s soccer improved to 5–0 after a dominant 5–1 win over Inter Nassau FC. Cldjervinsky Clerjuste opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, followed by a goal from Nahum Johnson before the half. Keno and Kevin Thomas linked up for a 53rd-minute strike, pushing the lead to 3–0. Johnson sealed the deal with two more goals in the 70th and 76th minutes, completing his hat trick.

The Mingoes close out 2025 on December 14 against Future Stars FC.
