NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Waterkeepers Bahamas recently recognized for work in restoring mangroves that were destroyed on Grand Bahama following Hurricane Dorian. Executive Director of Bahamas Protected Areas Fund, Karen Panton says the organization went above and beyond the call of duty. She shares some of the accomplishments that helped the organization earn the Grantee Excellence Award.

Executive Director of Waterkeepers Bahamas, Rashema Ingraham says the organization is grateful to be recognized for the Dover Sound Mangrove Restoration Project.

Panton explains just how important environmental groups are, explaining that their work is often under-appreciated.
