NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Food security for all may soon be a reality, as The Bahamas is closer to developing a $3 million cultivation center.

Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Resources And Family Island Affairs, Monday, announcing a partnership with Israel-Based Volcani International Partnerships – to build a cultivation center in The Bahamas.

The cultivation center will serve as a hub for agricultural production, to promote greater interaction between technocrats and farmers, as well as modernize food and agricultural systems.

It will include a produce exchange, fish and farm store and food processing systems.

Minister Sweeting says this project will go toward a central goal for his ministry – food security for all.
