“It establishes we are to communicate on matters which affect our members and/or the operations, provides allowances related to facilitate the airline operation, extends travel benefits to our members, reflects an appreciation for long-serving members of staff and supports the academic development of career-minded individuals.”

This agreement is the fourth successful agreement executed for the PMU across four entities. The agreement covers middle management at Bahamasair. Munnings says the agreement also allows employees to further their education.

The agreement also makes way for an updated mobile plan for employees.

“It was really a pleasant endeavor between the PMU and the management union, and we didn’t expect anything else. This was management staff that tends to be managing the airline, so our ability to come around the table was not really that difficult.”
