43-Year-Old Man Convicted of Raping Nine-Year-Old Girl
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A jury unanimously convicted a 43-year-old man of the rape of a nine-year-old girl.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A jury unanimously convicted a 43-year-old man of the rape of a nine-year-old girl.
After the jury’s verdict, Kenold Romain was taken into custody to await sentencing.
Justice Jeanine Weech-Gomez will hold a sentencing hearing on June 19.
The now 13-year-old told jurors that Romain threatened to kill her after he raped her in November 2020.
The child was admitted to hospital after she tested positive for a sexually transmitted infection.
