Woman Charged with Killing Man Outside East Street Bar

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A woman is facing a murder charge after a shooting left a man dead.

Prosecutors say 25-year-old Amir Thompson is responsible for the murder of 21-year-old Jarred Evans on June 9.

The shooting happened outside of Typsy’s Bar on East Street and Cordeaux Avenue.

Thompson surrendered to police on June 18 after a wanted poster was issued.

Thompson didn’t have to enter a plea to the charge when she stood before Senior Magistrate Shaka Serville.

Bail was denied and Thompson returns to court on October 31 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
