WORLDWIDE – Online shoppers just set a new Thanksgiving record in the U.S, spending $6.4 billion on Thursday, up 5% from last year.

Adobe analysts say the surge was fueled by deep discounts, especially on electronics and a big jump in mobile, impulse-led shopping.

Another game-changer was AI retail assistants.

Adobe reports traffic from AI chatbots to online stores soared more than 700% and those users were far more likely to check out.

Adobe says it now expects Black Friday to break another record, with sales projected to climb more than 8% over last year.
