NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Judges have reserved their decision over whether the conviction of a man found guilty of murder should stand.

Dwayne Lodimus, 30, was jailed for 45 years in February 2024 for the murder of Elroy Burrows.

The jury at his trial heard that Burrows was gunned down outside a bar on Mackey Street on March 19, 2019.

An off-duty officer witnessed the shooting and identified Lodimus as the killer.

He was also found in possession of the murder weapon when police arrested him.

Three Court of Appeal judges will give their decision at a date to be fixed.
