GB Minister Leads Site Visit For the Future “Pineridge Resilience Center”

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Minster for Grand Bahama, Ginger Moxey, and a team of international stakeholders, tours the future site of the Pineridge Resilience Center.

The site which was once filled with dilapidated buildings will eventually be a hub for the community through the bad days, and the good.

The transformation efforts also includes teams from the University of Miami and the Resilient Cities Catalyst.

Founding principle at Resilient Cities Catalyst, Andrew Salkin, explained the role of their non-profit.

Associate Director for the Global Institute at the University of Miami, Anjali Saxena explained their vast experience in humanitarian disasters, assisting countries like Haiti and Jamaica post-devestation.

Saxena also adds that they’ve been doing work in Abaco since Hurricane Dorian in 2019, and now this project is just an expansion to their local work.
