NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The getaway driver in a 2010 double shooting that killed a woman and injured a man has lost a bid to have appeal heard again.

In 2016, Denard Davis was convicted of the November 3, 2010 murder of Sheria Curry and the attempted murder of Shanko Smith during a drive-by shopting on Fox Hill.

Davis was identified as the driver of the SUV from which two gunmen fired.

He was sentenced to concurrent sentences 35 years for murder and 18 years for attempted murder.

The Court of Appeal affirmed his convictions and sentences in 2018, and the Privy Council denied him leave to appeal in 2022.
