HAITI – A fourth contingent of 150,000 Kenyan police officers returned home on Tuesday, after completing a year-long deployment in Haiti, under the multinational security support mission.

HAITI – A fourth contingent of 150,000 Kenyan police officers returned home on Tuesday, after completing a year-long deployment in Haiti, under the multinational security support mission.

The Kenya-led force was sent to assist the Haitian National Police in combating gang violence and restoring security in troubled areas.

The mission has also faced scrutiny following recent allegations cited in a United Nations report involving misconduct by some personnel.
