NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man allegedly caught in a compromising position with an underage girl has been acquitted.

A supreme court jury of five men and three men found 27-year-old Dreyon Curry not guilty of unlawful sexual intercourse by a vote of 6 to 2.

Curry, then 24, was arrested on April 2, 2024, after a policeman allegedly found him naked in a vehicle with a 15-year-old girl.

Curry denied having sexual relations with the teen, who testified that she had arranged for Curry to pick her up from school on the day in question.

After he picked her up, the girl, who’s now 17, testified that she and Curry had sex in the back seat of a vehicle on Baha Mar Boulevard.

A police motorcyclist testified that he saw the vehicle bouncing up and down and ordered the occupants outside.

The officer said when he went to the vehicle, Curry was putting on his underwear and the girl was hiding under sheets on the backseat.
