NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The draw for the 2026 Samuel P. Haven National High School Soccer Championships took place, finalizing matchups for the country’s top boys and girls teams.

Hosted by the Bahamas Football Association, the tournament features sides from New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco, and Eleuthera, where they are all competing for national title bragging rights over the next week at various locations – concluding at the Roscow A.L Davies Field.

The action begins with the New Providence playoffs May 21-22, followed by the northern playoff on May 23.

The junior high national championships run May 26–27, before the senior national semifinals and finals wrap up May 28–29.

Defending champions Lyford Cay International School enter as the team to beat after sweeping both senior titles in 2025, with the girls edging C.R. Walker 2-1 and the boys defeating Windsor 4–1.

Lewis Continues Adjustment to AA

Ian Lewis is having seamless transition to Double-A baseball.

The Miami Marlins prospect continues his transition to Double-A with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, and last night, he went 2-4 with a two-out RBI single, stealing two bases in Pensacola’s 3-1 win over the Columbus Clingstones.

The 23-year-old utility player is hitting around .222, three home-run, 13 RBI, and scored 18 runs, with 15 stolen bases and a .625 OPS.

He’s also showed his defensive versatility around the field, playing second base and the outfield.

Jones Headed to Turkish League Quarterfinals

Kai Jones and Anadolu Rfes are headed to the Turkish Super League Quarterfinals.

In his first season in Turkey, 6’11 Jones brought the skillset he’s become known for – rim protection, rebounding and highlight-reel finishes above the rim.

Jones has averaged 5.5 points and 5 rebounds, but has played in just over 17 minutes per game in his first season with the club.

They will face Turk Telecom in the quarterfinals on May 27.

The two teams split the season series, and Jones did not play in the first meeting, but had 8 points and 8 rebounds in game two.
