NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – Lyford Cay International School took the J.S. Johnson Girls’ division of the national title, taking down the C.R. Walker Knights in the Samuel P. Haven Jr. High School Soccer Nationals.

Isabel Suarez won the Golden Ball Award for the best overall player, while Raven Bastian won the Golden Glove given to the best goalie.

On the boys’ side of things, Anatol Rodgers High took down Windsor High for the title.

Wilkens Joseph of Anatol Rodgers took the Golden Glove award for the top goalie while Djino Bazam won the Golden Boot for the top goal scorer and Dalaxendro Riche got the Golden Ball given to the best player.

Major League Baseball

Jazz Chisholm went 1-4, and he stole bases 13 and 15, but his Yankees still lost 6-4 to the A’s.

Coach Antoan Richardson and his Atlanta Braves beat the Cincinnati Reds 5-2.

Ronald Acuña Jr. hit two home runs. Matt Olson and Jorge Mateo also went yard.

And Antoan’s signature base running expertise seems to be paying off. Acuna also stole two bases.

The Braves are off to a hot start. They’re the first team in the majors to win 50 games.

And down in the minors, Kristian Robinson went 2-5 with a couple of singles and a stolen base to help his Reno Aces pick up a 6-4 win over the Sacramento Rivercats in Triple-A.
