NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 28-year-old Royal Bahamas Defence Force marine is facing assault charges stemming from two separate incidents last month.

Prosecutors allege Marine Seaman Tevin McPhee assaulted two people while in the Customs Way area.

McPhee is accused of assaulting Lex Daniels on July 10th and damaging Daniels’ Costa sunglasses.

He is also accused of assaulting Davinia Capron on July 19th.

McPhee denied the allegations when he appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans for arraignment.

He was granted bail in the amount of $4,500.

McPhee is due back in court for trial on December 1st.
