Man Jailed for Three Years After Police Seize Two Guns, Four Magazines, and Ammunition

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man has been jailed for three years after police seized two guns, four magazines, ammunition, and a device that converts a semi-automatic pistol into an automatic one.

Police officers arrested 36-year-old Kristin Meadows on September 3 after they found the contraband at his home on Oxford Drive.

Seized were a: Glock 26 9mm pistol, a Glock 22 .40mm pistol, 38 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 13 rounds of 40mm ammunition, four magazines and an auto sear.

Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr. sentenced Meadows to three years for firearm possession with intent to supply, 24 months for ammunition and 12 months for possession of firearm components.

He will only serve three years because the sentences will run concurrently.
