Tourist Accused of Groping Woman Granted Bail

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An English tourist accused of groping a woman at the Breezes resort has been granted $10,000 cash bail.

Steen Nielsen, of London, who faces up to eight years in prison if convicted, is allowed to leave the country while on bail.

Nielsen is accused of putting his hand in the woman’s swimsuit and touched her intimately while in the resort’s pool on September 6.

Nielsen is expected to return to court on December 6 to be served with a voluntary bill of indictment, which will send the case to the Supreme Court for trial.
