NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police are investigating a jailhouse altercation that has landed an inmate in hospital.

Our News understands the inmate was badly beaten.

Police say prison officers found the victim unconscious on Tuesday morning while making routine checks.

Authorities say the inmate is in serious condition in hospital.

Last November, 29-year-old Mikhail Miller was found dead in his cell, charges were filed in that case.

Miller’s cellmate Diallo Williamson is awaiting trial for allegedly beating him to death.
