FRANCE- Protests and strikes arising at gas refineries in France have crippled gas supplies and caused fuel pumps to run dry.

French President Emmanuel Macron calling a crisis meeting Monday with senior ministers hoping to find a solution as quickly as possible even though it appears to be worsening.

The government ordered striking workers at the fuel depots near Lyon to return to work on Monday or face criminal charges.

Lyon is one of the hardest hit areas with almost 40% of the gas stations out of fuel.

Elsewhere, nearly one-third of the gas stations have run out with the situation is expected to worsen this week.
