Economic Impact Far Reaching, Says MP
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – West End and Bimini MP Obie Wilchcombe sharing saying there are a number of reasons for decrease in school enrolment.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – There continues to be an economic challenge in Grand Bahama, so much of a challenge that the economic situation on that northern island appears to be affecting the education system. West End and Bimini MP Obie Wilchcombe sharing that on a recent trip to the island he was told by a school principal that her school’s enrollment numbers are down and when asked why, the minister says there are a number of reasons.
The social services minister explaining that the economic downturn in Grand Bahama did not just start after Hurricane Dorian.
The minister also commenting on the sale of the Grand Lucayan Resort which many Grand Bahamians are depending on to revive the economy.
Wilchcombe says the minister of tourism has a plan not only for the resort.
