NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police heading into the weekend with another murder on their hands, after a deadly shooting on Palm Breeze Drive today.

According to Chief Superintendent of Police, Michael Johnson, the man was found around 2pm, Friday. Johnson says residents heard gunshots in the area and notified police.

“They came out to investigate and met a vehicle in the middle of the street. There was a male in the vehicle who appeared to be suffering from a gunshot injury to the upper body.

The man was pronounced dead.

Police believe the victim is in his early 20s.

One resident tells Our News the incident is out of the ordinary.

“You don’t hardly see people round here that much, other than the traffic,” the resident said.

“We’ll need more police presence just to feel safe. You never know who they may have been or if they will come back.”

Police are asking anyone with information on this latest murder to contact them.
