BRAZIL – Brazil’s outgoing President Jair Bolsonaro met briefly, Thursday, with the envoy coordinating the transfer of power To Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, four days after Bolsonaro’s tight election loss.

The outcome has sparked protests by his supporters amid his refusal to publicly concede.
His chief of staff told reporters he received authorization from incumbent for the process to proceed.
The meeting between the two sides launches the process that will culminate with da Silva’s inauguration on January 1.
