NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the 2021 road rage killing of a senior citizen.

Herlin Altidor received the sentence as part of a plea deal.

Altidor, who was initially charged with murder, pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of manslaughter in the February 2, 2021 fatal stabbing of Andrew Sturrup, 60.

Sturrup was dragged out of his car, beaten and stabbed after he got into a traffic accident on Palm Tree Avenue.

Altidor’s co-accused Jonathan Griffin, 22,  was sentenced to eight years in prison for his role in the attack last month.

He pleaded guilty to causing dangerous harm to Sturrup.
