NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In the height of Flu season, Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Michael Darville assures he isn’t concerned with crowds that are expected to gather at the Junkanoo parade.

Darville says health officials were involved in the preparation in the run-up to the parades.

While it’s been months since the country saw high COVID-19 numbers, the disease that’s killed thousands around the world hasn’t been eradicated.

As for the recent Boxing Day parade, Darville told reporters the wind played a role in making the environment more suitable for crowds.
