In May 2021, then Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis said government would invest $100m in upgrades to Princess Margaret and Rand Memorial Hospitals in a project that would take 18-24 months.

The Davis administration has committed to building new hospitals on both New Providence and Grand Bahama.

Standing on a point of order during Dr. Minnis’ contribution in Parliament Wednesday, Dr. Darville said the funding for Grand Bahama’s hospital was all an illusion.
