NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The future $25 million Sampson Cay Retreat Resort is fully funded, and promises to boost tourism, highlight culture, and preserve the environment.

At government’s signing of the Heads of Agreement, Monday, president and founder of Sampson Cay Retreat Ltd., Bob Coughlin, said environmental sustainability is a priority not an afterthought.

Coughlin retired to Exuma in 2019, but his history in environmental work has been longstanding.

Some of the sustainability of the island will also be passed on to the guests.

Coughlin says he’s also taking note from other successful cays in the area when it comes to design and operation cues.
