Jonquel Jones and her New York Liberty fell to the Chicago Sky last night 86 to 82.

Jonquel, who is still working her way back from injury, had 9 points and 6 rebounds in only 21 minutes.

Breanna Stewart had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Liberty.

She also scored a bucket to tie the game at 76 apiece deep into the 4th.

That would be as close as the Liberty got however as the Sky put them away late in the 4th. Kahleah Copper led with 27 points and 7 rebounds.

Daalen Adderley served as team captain in the 2023 HBCU All Star game over the weekend at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA, a suburb of Atlanta.

The event was held by minority baseball prospects an organization founded to promote baseball among African-Americans. It showcased the best HBCU baseball and softball players in the country in divisions one and two and NAIA schools.

Daalen served as team captain for Team Ralph Garr as they played team Andre Dawson.

The junior outfielder had a historic season for Texas Southern University, leading the conference in batting average and ops winning conference player of the year and hitter of the year.
