NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Central Bank of The Bahamas continuing its educational campaign on Sand Dollar by encouraging customers to use the digital currency for local purchases.

Central Bank Deputy Manager of Currency Experience, Brett Lashley says the banking institution wants to get Sand Dollar in the hands of Bahamians. To customers who may not be very tech savvy, he’s stressing how easy it is to use.

Earlier this week, Central Bank launched its Sand Dollar Top-Up campaign at Super Value Golden Gates. Lashley says the initiative is only the beginning of a wider rebate program that will be rolled out during the summer months and to those who may be concerned about the removal of physical cash, he says………..
