NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Bahamians sounding off over the shocking revelation that some government agencies have not been paying NIB contributions in years.

Government must be held accountable is the consensus of many residents we spoke to on Thursday.

They agree with State Minister responsible for the National Insurance Board Myles Laroda, who is calling for compliance from government agencies.

And, as residents and businesses brace for an NIB rate increase in July 2024, some residents believe the lack of payments is all a part of the problem.
