NASSAU, BAHAMAS – More backlash toward Immigration Minister Keith Bell after an audio clip with the minister bestowing citizenship at a funeral service this past weekend went viral.

Former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis told reporters on Wednesday, he feels Bell is acting as an independent agent, calling his actions unbecoming of a minister, as he says it was not done in the traditional setting.

Minnis says Prime Minister Philip Davis must answer whether the policy for obtaining citizenship has changed.

Minnis says citizenship should not be taken lightly.
