NASSAU, BAHAMAS – At the Ecumenical Service on Sunday night, Bahamas Christian Council President, Bishop Delton Fernander urged the country to “turn the tide back to our Christian values.”

Even if it comes at the expense of potential international backlash.

President of the Bahamas Christian Council Bishop Delton Fernander had a strong message for Bahamians during the Ecumenical Service of the Independence Celebrations at Clifford Park.

We asked bahamians how they felt about the bishop’s call to action.

One person said that while it’s important for the country to stick to its values, there is a place for international diplomacy.
