Hours after announcing the addition of Eric Gordon, The Bahamas National Basketball team took down the Kansas Jayhawks in Puerto Rico.

NBA players Eric Gordon and Buddy Hield led The Bahamas Kansas in the final game of their exhibition series in Puerto Rico 87-81.

Hield led The Bahamas with 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in only 23 minutes of action.

Playing the same day he was given his release to play for The Bahamas, Eric Gordon had 12 points in 20 minutes.

Franco Miller Jr. who went off for 24 in a previous game chipped in 12 points and 4 assists.

Dajuan Harris Jr. had 23 points and 5 steals for rock-chalk.

That’s the last of three games in Puerto Rico for Team Bahamas.

They’re off to Argentina to play in the Olympic qualifiers which begin next Monday.

They have one of the strongest teams in the tournament on paper. If they can translate to wins on the court they’ll be headed to Paris for the 2024 Olympics.

Baseball

Moving on to some baseball, Jazz Chisholm was back on the diamond yesterday for the Miami Marlins.

Jazz Chisholm made a big splash in his return to the Marlins lineup yesterday.

The Marlins outfielder, who was taken out of Saturday’s game with a tweaked hamstring, got in the game to pinch hit in the 8th inning hitting a solo moon shot to left field to make the game 5-2.

The Marlins would lose on that same score as they were unable to mount a comeback.
