DPM: “It’s Good Now And It’s Getting Better”

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Tourism arrivals are up 30% when compared to this same period in 2019, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper who foreshadowed arrivals could exceed eight million visitors. This would set a new record.

Cooper says there has been significant growth in airlift to The Bahamas, adding that new strategies have been producing results.

Speaking on the sidelines of the launch of the second annual Caribbean Investment Forum, Cooper revealed there is growing interest in trade and tourism from Africa.

He hinted at the possibility of direct flights from there.
