NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The back and forth between the government and the Grand Bahama Port Authority does not seem like it will end anytime soon.

Some say it doesn’t send a good message to investors. Leader of the Free National Movement Michael Pintard is also weighing in on the situation.

Just this week port officials sending a statement detailing their responsibilities, efforts in the City of Freeport and made it clear that they are not subsidized by the government.

While Pintard agrees that more is required at helm from the port, he does not support government’s recent comments adding that the government should’ve held meetings between all stakeholders.

And as to why he doesn’t think government has what it takes to manage the City of Freeport.
