NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Demetrio Forbes was the 17-year-old pump attendant who was callously shot in the face as he was working at the Esso On The Run East Street South Gas Station on Tuesday evening.

The disturbing video quickly spread on social media.

Back at the scene today, the gas station’s manager, who was on duty at the time recalled that horrific moment. He did not want to appear on camera for safety reasons.

He says his first instinct was to alert Forbe’s aunt, who was a cashier on duty a that time.

The victim’s aunt, Tunyia Rolle says all she could think about was keeping her nephew alive.

As for his condition, Rolle says Forbes is alert but is being closely monitored by doctors.

Rolle says her nephew is a humble young man who stayed out of trouble.

Asked about the progress of the investigation and a possible motive behind the shooting Rolle says there’s been some speculation but nothing concrete.
