NASSAU, BAHAMAS – New details have been revealed about the $2.5 million aircraft the government will acquire for use by the public service. The chairman of the Progressive Liberal Party fired back at opposition criticisms and claims the same aircraft was sold by a former FNM government.

Progressive Liberal Party chairman Fred Mitchell is unfazed by recent criticisms of the government’s move to acquire a $2.5 million aircraft for the public service, claiming the same aircraft was sold by the 1992 Ingraham administration.

The Office of the Prime Minister released a statement this week clarifying the seized, repurposed aircraft will be used for the transport of government officials throughout the island, which will alleviate any delays and added expenses to the public’s purse.

Mitchell, taking his defense of the acquisition a step further, says he believes the FNM is distracted by nonsense and should focus on other issues.
