NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Raw Talent Elite has helped several Bahamian players make major moves this offseason at the pro and prep levels.
Founded by national team veteran and pro player, Kino Burrows, Raw Talent has been instrumental in facilitating a pipeline to pros.
This summer alone, Franco Miller Jr. and Garvin Clarke are headed to the pros in Spain, while Javez Coleby and Whitfield Ching will continue their prep careers at Veritas Academy.
Raw Talent Elite also routinely participates in the BBF Summer of Thunder and the Baha Mar Hoops Summer League, giving its players additional exposure and opportunities against elite visiting talent.
Track and Field
The sprint hurdles and the 200m heats headlined the action for Team Bahamas at the World Athletics U-20 Championships in Lima, Peru.
In the 110 meter hurdles Tahj Brown run a time of 14.28 placing 5th in heat 2 and 47th overall.
In heat 5 Tayshuan Robinson placed 9th with a time of 14.69 to finish 61st overall in the event.
In the 200 meters Alexis Roberts ran a time of 24.82 placing 39th overall.
NBA
The NBA schedule was released for the upcoming season and we look ahead at the matchups featuring Bahamian national team players.
On opening night, Buddy Hield will make his debut with the Golden State Warriors against Denadre Ayton and the Portland Trailblazers on October 23.
Kai Jones and the new look Los Angeles Clippers will face Hield and the Warriors on October 27, followed by a matchup against the trailblazers on October 30.
Ayton and the Blazers will host another bahamian face in a new place when they take on eric gordon and the Philadelphia 76ers on December 30.
Hield will take on Gordon and his former team when the Warriors host the 76ers on January 2 with their second matchup on march 1 in Philadelphia.
A busy month of March 2025 continues for the Bahamians when Ayton and the Trailblazers host the 76ers on March 3 and the Warriors on March 10.
The regular season concludes with back to back matchups for Hield against the Trailblazers on April 11 and finally against Jones and the Clippers on April 13.
