NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prosecutors are no longer seeking to increase the five-year sentence handed to 30-year-old gun dealer.

Kyle Carter received the sentence in May after admitting to having 15 firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition with intent to supply.

Police on May 15 pulled Carter over on John F. Kennedy Drive for reckless driving.

The officers found a small amount of marijuana while searching the van.

Police later executed a search warrant on the Sandilands Village Road home that Carter shared with his mother, Cheryl Key, where they seized guns, drugs, ammunition, and bulletproof vests.

Carter’s mother was so charged, but the charges against her were withdrawn.
